‘Self sabotage is one of the most difficult things to conquer I think. Because primarily it works on the unconscious level, usually involves a spidersweb of reasons, and even when you suspect it, and try and work against it, you can end up adding to it and strengthening it, in your very attempts to destroy it. It’s not until somewhere, somehow and sometime, no matter how self aware you have been or are, you can reach and understand the basal depths, stop trying to outsmart yourself, and genuinely see the origins, consciously, of why you do it, and what you’re doing, that you can start to challenge and change the tendency in your psyche.’
